A Beautiful Outdoor Wedding at the Bitter Goose Lodge and Cabins with Mike & Casey
This past Saturday we had the great opportunity to photograph some good friends of ours for their wedding. We love doing wedding photography but when it is a close friend, it makes it so much more special. I have been close friends of the groom's brother for many years and during this time, I had many opportunities to hang out with Mikey, as we all call him. Mikey was just a young kid the first time I met him and the two things I remember most about him was that he was always smiling or laughing and the second was that I could tell that he really looked up to his big brother Adam. I can't say that Adam never led him astray (ha!) but I can say that the love and respect these brothers have for each other through good times and bad, really helped Mikey become the good man he is today and I am very proud of him! When I first met Casey, I knew that Mikey had found his match. She was so nice and down to earth. Not to mention, she was able to put up with Mikey's shenanigans! I was able to visit with them quite a few times over the past few years and I know that they will be be just as great as husband and wife as they were when they were dating. Mike & Casey's beautiful outdoor wedding took place not far from Raystown Lake at the rustic Bitter Goose Lodge and Cabins. The day was a little on the hot side but at least the sun was out and everyone was happy. We were able to get some really great photos of this newlywed couple as you can see below. Let's take some time to learn a little more about Mike & Casey as she wrote in her own words.
Mike and I met at TriStar Motors in Blairsville. He was a car salesman. It was my first day working there. I was the new secretary. An older salesman there, named Haider, asked if I went to IUP (I was going there for my RN at the time) I said yes and he took me over to Mike who was hard at work doing a car deal. Haider proceeded to tug on Mike's shirt sleeve shouting "Michael, Michael this girl goes to IUP." Mike finally looked at me and said "great, a lot of people do" and stormed off. I thought wow, what a jerk. Mike spent the next eight months trying to get my attention. Finally, my roommate Sarah and I agreed to go hang out with he and his roommate Mick. And the rest is history. I couldn't be happier.
We recently bought a house in Houtzdale. Mike is a Corrections Officer at SCI Rockview. I am a RN at Mount Nittany Medical Center. We have two dogs, Ivan and Alexander and two rabbits, Honey and Jack. And yes, they all get along. We look forward to a bright and happy future together!
