JOHNSTOWN PA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY... featuring Teri & Don
TERI & DON... AN INDIAN LAKE WEDDING
A little over two weeks ago, we got a call from Teri saying that she needed a wedding photographer for her wedding. When I asked her when the wedding was, she told me it was in two weeks... It just so happened that I was only scheduled to work in the morning that day and we had the rest of the day open!! As photographers in Johnstown pa, we were very lucky to have that day open. We met with Teri exactly two weeks before the wedding, Don unfortunately had to work so we were not able to meet him until the actual wedding day. Talking with Teri was like getting a breath of fresh air. She has such a love for life, God and Don. She kept telling us that her and Don's wedding was going to be simple, a small intimate gathering of family. Let me tell you this, their wedding day was far from simple. From the breathtaking view of the beautiful Indian Lake, to the smallest details of the beautiful aqua stones on the doily table runners. The bride and groom decided to have a "first look" before the ceremony. It was so nice to be able to capture their reactions and emotions of them seeing each other for the first time. Don couldn't take his eyes off Teri and she was brought to tears when they saw each other. After a wonderful dinner, fun cake cutting and touching first dance, Teri and Don also literally "took the plunge" off of the roof on the dock!! It is a summer tradition for Teri and her family, now Don has joined in the tradition as well. Then, after they got dried off and changed, the bride and groom joined the rest of the family for a camp fire and some s'more making. Teri, Don and their family were such a lovely group of people. Everybody was so amazing to meet and get to know a little. There were plenty of laughs and happy tears the entire day.
Don and Teri met through mutual friends in March, 2011. They hit it off from the first night they met and have been in love ever since. They started off their relationship doing long distance with Teri living in Johnstown, PA and Don living in Mechanicsburg, PA. They made the most of every weekend by spending time together and further growing in love with one another. After living apart, Teri moved to Mechanicsburg in order to be able to see Don even more, and the added time spent together made them realize they were perfect for each other. Don and Teri love being outdoors, experiencing new adventures, and enjoying life. Don proposed on October 13, 2012 after a hike to the top of Pole Steeple, where they had their first date. They are looking forward to the many new experiences that married life will bring them, and know that wherever they go, whatever they do, and whatever surprises life brings them that it will be amazing and blessed as long as they have each other by their side.
