Romance in the Fall with Ashley & Dan
We had such a wonderful time yesterday at Ashley and Dan's wedding at the Pitt-Johnstown campus. The ceremony took place in the beautiful J. Irving Whalley Memorial Chapel and the reception was held in the Pitt-Johnstown Convention Center. We started the day out at the chapel with the wonderful bridal party. All of Ashley's ladies were amazing and so wonderful to work with. Dan and his groomsmen then arrived at the chapel and were also wonderful to work with. The entire bridal party made us feel so comfortable with them. Everyone of them were so laid-back and exactly the type of people we enjoy working with. We had some rain off and on throughout the day, but it didn't keep our couple from having a wonderful time. There was a 1962 Lincoln Town Car convertible rented for the bride and groom as their mode of transportation for the day. The top stayed up due to the rain and we weren't able to get a lot of the pictures we had in mind for the day, but we were able to get a couple unique shots with the beautiful antique car. As we moved on to the reception, we had the pleasure of working with the DJ's from R&R Entertainment. These gentlemen were a blast to work with. They kept the wedding party and guests entertained and were even found on the dance floor dancing with everybody! The reception had such a romantic feel with the lace table cloths and chair sashes. It was beautifully decorated by Wedding Elegance by Joelle. Ashley and Dan are such a great couple, it was an absolute pleasure to be able to work with them and their friends and family. Let's learn a little more about them in Ashley's own words.
"We met at California University of PA during our Junior year. Dan was working toward a major in Graphic Communications and I was perusing a degree in Elementary Education. During the summer of 2011 we spent a lot of time together hanging out and quickly became best friends. By the end of the summer we decided we liked each other a lot more than just friends and began dating. We dated for nearly 2 years. On April 20, 2013, we went to Pittsburgh for the day. While there we went for dinner, then up to Mt. Washington to take pictures and enjoy the gorgeous view. While there, Dan got down on one knee, pulled out the most beautiful ring from his pocket and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him!
