A Stylish Altoona Pa Wedding with Reception at the Blair County Convention Center

Yesterday was a wedding a long time in the making. We met with Amanda and Shawn almost two years ago when they contacted us to be their Altoona wedding photographers. We are so glad that they chose us to be their wedding photographers because they were so kind and fun on their wedding day. We really loved being around all of their family, friends and the whole wedding party. We say this all of the time, but when we work with such great people like Shawn and Amanda, it really helps us to do our job so much better and the wedding pictures reflect just that! It sure was a hot day but we all had a lot of fun with it and just laughed almost the whole time through. The wedding took place at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg Pa and the reception was at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona Pa. Both venues were beautiful and made for a perfect wedding. Oh and by the way, it was also Amanda's parents wedding anniversary and in case we forgot to say, Happy Anniversary to you both! Let's learn a little more about Amanda and Shawn.

Shawn and Amanda met through a friend of Shawn. Shawn’s friend, Matt, told Shawn about Amanda and they started talking through Facebook on August 17, 2012. They went on their first date to the Portage drive in on August 18, 2012. Shawn was living in Winchester, VA at the time, but came back to PA almost every weekend to see Amanda. On September 1, 2012, Shawn officially asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. One year later, on September 1, 2013, Shawn took Amanda to the same place he asked her to be his girlfriend and asked her to be his wife. They currently live together in Winchester, VA and have a goldendoodle named Harlee. Amanda is a nurse at Winchester Medical Center, and Shawn is a technician at Micron Technology in Manassas, VA.
