AJ & Bri's Wedding and Stunning Reception at Altoona Discovery Center By: Glessner Photography

This last weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of working with AJ and Bri again for their wedding. Several months ago, we did their engagement session. It was easy to see then what an incredible couple they are. We were able to capture both AJ and Bri in their childhood homes before the wedding ceremony that was held at the beautiful Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel in Loretto, PA. They were both surrounded by many family and friends as they got ready for one of the most incredible days of their lives! After the ceremony, we went to the always wonderful Gardens of Mount Assisi, the same location we took their engagement portraits. After the specialty shots, we headed down the mountain to the stunning reception that was held at the Altoona Heritage Discovery Center. The reception was jam-packed with amazing food from Anthony's Catering and then entertainment provided by the always great Color My World Entertainment and also the rocking John Parker Band. Bri and AJ were seriously a wonderful couple to work with. Ok, so everybody knows that the bridal dance can get a little crazy sometimes, right?!?! Well, during the bridal dance, we believe poor Bri may have acquired a broken toe!! She didn't show it though, she kept on going until after the dance was completed and AJ carried her off. She didn't want to stop dancing and having fun, so AJ got her some ice and she had some help taping it up and she was off to continue enjoying her reception. Let's learn a little more about this wonderful couple.

AJ and I grew up in the same home town of Lilly, PA. My dad was actually his football coach when he played for the Lilly Raiders and I was a cheerleader. It wasn't until high school that we "officially" met and began dating. But, it wasn't exactly easy. AJ was shy and I most definitely was not. He was a junior and I was a senior and I'll never forget the day he walked into the gym for his basketball practice and I looked over at my friend and said "I'm going to Snowflake with him this year!" That was difficult because it took him an entire six months to say hello to me in person, but that December he took me to my senior Snowflake. That same night he asked me to be his girlfriend, and the rest was history! We both attended UPJ for our undergraduate degrees and I spent most of my free time watching him play basketball or playing basketball with him. It was perfect that he decided to propose on the basketball quart in Lilly where we first started playing together. To this day (and even on the day he proposed) he still never lets me win! It was a true case of love and basketball.

Thank you so much, AJ and Bri for choosing us to be your engagement and wedding photographers. We were truly honored to be part of your day. We also want to thank all of their family, bridal party, and friends for being so great to us. We hope that everybody is healthy and doing well.
